Trudie Hegel, Creative Director of Hoi Polloi Fusion Bellydance, has over 15 years of study with the best dancers the Oriental and Tribal Fusion communities have to offer. Her education has been varied with Daleela Morad and Amy Sigil in Sacramento, with current Jamila Salimpour Level 1 certification. In addition to bellydance, Trudie studied Kahiko Hula with the legendary San Francisco-based Halau o' Keikialii and performed at the 2011 Pacific Rim Festival, as well as Harlow's Hula supper shows. After dancing with the Sacramento-based Heyoka Collective ,Trudie co-founded the tribal fusion troupe, Omi Mahina, in 2012 and has been the creative director of the all-inclusive group of ladies known as Hoi Polloi since 2013.
